Trailside Inn

Beds were super comfy and everything looks quite clean. Amenities provided are really good, so is the wifi. Only thing I will say is that the ceiling is very creaky, if you have a different schedule to the people upstairs it could be bothersome

I recently stayed at the Trailside Inn for two weeks, and had an amazing experience! The inn is cozy, beautifully maintained, and set in a lovely location. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. A heartfelt thanks to the manager, Kevin, who went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. All the staff have been wonderful, but I must say, he's a big driving force behind the magic of this place!. His genuine care and attention to detail truly made a difference and made me feel right at home. His passion for this place shines through in everything he does! If you're looking for a place that feels incredibly welcoming, I highly recommend the Trailside Inn!

The guy at the front desk was extremely friendly and hospitable even though I rolled in at 12:30am with no reservation. I had to stop here due to a weather emergency, and didn't have many options, but this place blew my socks off. Staff was great, room was super clean, bed was comfy, water was hot, and the water pressure almost knocked me down. Great experience, I have added it to my places to stay while on the road. Pro tip: Rubio's Taqueria for a breakfast burrito or regular burrito on your way into or out of town.

I'm in from out of town for work. The front desk person that checked me in was very friendly and the room I got was very nice. Well worth the few extra bucks over Modoc or Rim Rock. Definitely going to book with Trailside if I ever come back out to Alturas.

Alturas is a very small town in Northern California. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's not sparkly and brand new but the room was very clean and smelled good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Heads up that the town rolls up early. We stepped out to get some supper at 7 and most restaurants were closed.

Clean and well kept property. The guest rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is easy to find and access. The rooms were very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was well stocked the the attendant was very friendly and kept the area very tidy. I would definitely stay here again for future stays.

I book rooms for the company that I'm employed with. We have stayed at the Trailside for many months with multiple rooms. The staff is very accommodating. Sometimes we have to cancel or check out early because we are a construction company, and the schedule changes from week to week. They are very understanding to our situation. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean. If in Alturas, I highly recommend staying at the Trailside Inn.

Nothing fancy but quiet, very clean—renovated recently, comfortable bed with nice linens, plenty of hot water and good towels, friendly professional staff. What more do you need on a road trip? I’d stay here again.
